We Did It--and It's a BIG Step Forward!!!
The Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod surpassed the 65% goal set by the
ELCA Health Wellness Online Assessment!
Between January 1 and April 30, 65.9% of ELCA Health Plan primary
participants from the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod completed the
Online Assessment. That means that every congregation that sponsors a
primary participant for health benefits will receive a 2% reduction
in its annual premium for 2012 (retroactive to January). Total
savings in health plan premiums across the synod amount to $39,000.
In addition, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod will receive
$19,500 to plan and carry out health and wellness initiatives on the
synod territory.
It's also worth noting that each of the 174 persons who took the
assessment received $150 in his or her account to reduce out of
pocket expenses in 2012.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the ELCA Health Wellness Online
Assessment! You can see how we did in comparison to other synods
here.
